Kenyan payslip generator

Create a clean, printable Kenyan payslip in shillings (KES) in your browser: enter basic salary, allowances, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and Affordable Housing Levy deductions and the generator calculates gross pay, total deductions, and net pay. No sign-up, and nothing you type leaves your device.

Kenyan payslip components

A Kenyan payslip separates basic salary from allowances (house, transport) and lists statutory deductions individually: PAYE withheld for KRA, SHIF (the Social Health Insurance Fund that replaced NHIF), NSSF Tier I and Tier II contributions, and the Affordable Housing Levy. Rates change with each Finance Act, so confirm current figures before running payroll.

How to create a Kenyan payslip

  1. Enter employer, employee, payroll number, pay period, and payment date
  2. List basic salary and each allowance separately
  3. Enter PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and the Housing Levy as separate deduction lines
  4. Check gross pay minus total deductions equals the net pay you will transfer
  5. Print or save the payslip as a PDF

Payslip formula

Net pay = total earnings − total deductions. Employer-side NSSF matching and levies are company costs and should not appear as employee deductions.
